About Low Carbon Logistics
The UK hosted the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021. As part of the COP26 programme, Low Carbon Logistics was developed by Mossend International Railfreight Park, Scottish Enterprise, Network Rail, Transport Scotland and PD Stirling to showcase support for a zero-carbon supply chain network and a more competitive, efficient road and rail freight sector.
Held over three days at Mossend, Scotland's largest international multi-modal rail freight park, the event showcased rail freight and low carbon transport to industry leaders, COP26 delegates, investors and potential customers, centred around the naming of electric and sustainable fuel locomotives.
The event offered a programme of seminars, exhibitions and ceremonies exploring how supply chains can become more sustainable, with COVID safety measures including ventilation, face masks, sanitising stations and social distancing throughout.
